Residing on the rocky New England coastline, Brenda Snyder proudly lists being a full time poet/organizer and a part time waitress on her resume. She will be the first person to tell you to tip your servers, and the last person to leave the bar on a weeknight. She began and single handedly runs Witch City Poetry Slam in Salem, Massachusetts. Her work confronts topics such as:mental illness, heartbreak, body image, and classism. She prides herself in her ability to connect with her audience, whether it be in her delivery or context; she writes poetry with the hope of letting folks know they are not alone.
