"Forget about enlightenment.
Sit down wherever you are
And listen to the wind singing in your veins."
~John Welwood

A workshop to awaken the explorer, the witness, and the unique human being in all of us. We will learn how to weave our individual life experiences into engaging and evocative poems and stories. We will use gentle movement & light yoga as a way of awakening our embodied creativity, and we will dialogue with the body's voice. We will use the breath for intentional focus and presence, and guided prompts and sense-bound writing to assist us in creating descriptive, image-rich detail as our anchors on the page. We will learn new ways of engaging our readers and ourselves, and illuminate the anatomy of our poems. We will learn how to create a relationship with the inner "seer"-the Self as Witness-in order to work with the alchemical writing material offered up to us in our daily lives. What stories are living in your elbows and toes?
