Boston Slam
Limited Capacity full

Join members of the 2015 and 2016 Boston Slam team "bring it" at the 2016 festival!

The “House Slam” is Boston’s Poetry Slam venue located in the heart of Dudley Square. Built to be a transformative and inclusive artistic space, this bi-weekly open mic, poetry feature, and poetry slam brings poets and audience members together for a night of sharing and community. Co-founded by the 2014 Individual World Poetry Slam Champion Porsha Olayiwola and the 2015 Women of the World Poetry SlamChampion Janae Johnson, this venue is also home to the 2015 National Poetry Slam Team. Watching performances by the House Slam is an experience you don't want to miss, bringing with it the best that Boson Spoken Word has to offer both in poetry writing and poetry performance technique.  Catch them every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month at the Haley House Cafe.
