Tobi Dress-Germain

Tobi Dress-Germain is a writer and lecturer on peacebuilding, conflict prevention, human rights, and related human security issues. She is also a lawyer and mediator, and in her personal life is a poetry and fiction writer.

Tobi is a published author who has written and edited books, monographs, and articles for the United Nations, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Organization for Migration and several other international organizations, as well as for the academic press. Her poetry and short stories have been published in Cimmaron, The Literary Review, Frank, Kalliope, University of Maryland Review, and several other literary journals (frequently under a pen name).

Tobi has lived in six states and four countries, and has traveled extensively both professionally and personally.

She also teaches and coaches in Writing for Social Change and has worked with numerous authors and publishers, serving as a reviewer, editor, brainstormer, mentor, and, occasionally, ghostwriter.
