Not altogether successfully, Matt Brenneman tries to balance a lifelong devotion to poetry with the happy demands of fatherhood and a solo corporate and transactional law practice based up the road in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Matt was born and raised in Connecticut and received his undergraduate degree from Tufts University, where he studied with Philip Levine. His poems, often employing traditional forms and variants of traditional forms, have appeared in Poetry, The Nebraska Review, and The Sewanee Theological Review.
